ONCE UPON A TIME THERE WAS AN IRON...
The iron appeared, it seems, in the 19th century in Spain. On the roads leading to Santiago de Compostela, pilgrims adopted this steel griddle for its many qualities: easy to use, easy to transport and clean, it was only necessary to place it on a few coals to cook any food collected during the journey. From that nomadic version, the griddle gradually conquered the world. The best chefs adopted it for its simplicity and its technical qualities that make it possible to create healthy and creative recipes in a jiffy.
